Brigid’s Path Receives Funding from Executive Order by Gov. DeWine
One of 16 organizations to receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funds
KETTERING, OH (December 11, 2025) – Brigid’s Path was selected as one of 16 Ohio agencies to receive funding from Gov. Mike DeWine’s executive order for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, which will release up to $13.4 million to support children, families and workforce development.
Brigid’s Path is allocated up to $190,000 through the order to assist in providing newborn recovery services, as well as education, support, and resources to their families in Montgomery County and the surrounding region we serve.
“This funding and other government and private grants are vital to ensure we can continue to serve and support our babies and their families with the grace and dignity they deserve,” says Jill Kingston, founder and president of Brigid’s Path. “We are Ohio’s only newborn recovery center of our kind, so it’s essential that we remain financially strong and continue to grow so we can help even more babies, moms and families.”
The funds distributed to Brigid’s Path will support our family advocacy program, which includes support for moms who are in recovery, connecting families with social services including housing, food, transportation and legal assistance. “We are a judgement-free space,” says Kingston. “We meet families where they’re at right now and give them the help they need, with the goal of keeping as many families together as possible.”
The executive order was designated to help keep children with families, promote job preparation, and reduce poverty in Ohio through public-private partnerships, among other goals.
